Upon high school graduation, Janine attended a women's college, Douglas College of Rutgers University in New Brunswick. After one year, she transferred to Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey to pursue music. Janine graduated, cum laude, from Westminster with a B.A. in Voice. She was also a participant in the Honors Exchange program with Princeton University, where she matriculated non-music/general education courses at Princeton University.
Janine spent most of her time in Europe after college graduation pursuing her career singing opera and classical music. She has been featured on televised concerts and live performances in Italy, Russia, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Sicily, Bavaria, and beyond. One of her most beloved memories from her young career was singing Fauré's Requiem at the Vatican.
After a couple of years of singing professionally, Janine pursued yet another dream: being an attorney. Janine graduated from Villanova Law School in 2007. Her musical background was handy as she was sought out to sing for the law school's graduation ceremonies and other special events.
During law school, Janine was a judicial intern for Judge Marie Lihotz (Ret.), then Presiding Judge of Family Court in Burlington County. It was this experience in her 1st year of law school that she found her passion for family law. Janine was also a judicial extern and clerk for Judge Mark Bernstein (Ret.) of Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Upon graduation, Janine was a judicial law clerk in Mercer County New Jersey Family Court for Judge Audrey Peyton-Blackburn (Ret.) and Judge Mark Fleming.
Janine was a Fairmount resident for almost 15 years before moving to the East Falls section of the city in 2017. She is a wife, the mother of 2 young boys, age 5 and 8, and a solo-practitioner. Therefore, she is a master of very hard work, being meticulously responsible, and exhibiting excellence on very little sleep.
Further, Janine still sings professionally as she could never stop making music. She is a music ministry leader at her church and is sought out regularly for recordings and special events. In recent years, her musical highlights include being featured at the Kimmel Center's annual "Soulful Christmas" concert and singing background for Aretha Franklin and Andrea Bocelli for the Papal visit.
